Number of hydration breaks: Stopping at all hydration points for a minute to hydrate, reassemble, and continue the run after that.
More details about pacing strategy: We’ll start the first kilometer slightly relaxed (at a slow pace of 9, considering the initial crowd) and then settle into effort, then lock into a consistent pace of 8 and hold the same throughout the run. The goal is to finish strong and comfortably in 89 mins.

Interesting Fact:

I am from the VMR Dreamers chapter and have completed races – 10K, 16K, and HM in barefoot and traditional attire (saree). I am interested in pacing as it’s not just about running — it’s about staying disciplined, reading the group’s energy, and helping runners finish with confidence. Running has given me confidence and growth, and pacing is my way of giving back to the running community by helping others reach their goals.
