Saamai (Millet) Pongal
Relish the hot, delicious and healthy millet pongal for breakfast. A satisfactory meal on a Sunday morning after a looong run!
Little millet (saamai)- 1 cup
Moong dal – 1/2 cup
Pepper and jeera powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Ghee – 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Mustard seeds, green chilli, ginger for seasoning
Slightly heat Millet and Moong dal.
Pressure cook with 4 1/2 cups of water.
Add salt, ghee, and pepper-jeera powder to the cooked samai.
Season with mustard, green chilli, and chopped ginger.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
